The short version: I collect an email address so I can send you the Audit and the occasional letter. I don't sell it, share it, or do anything else with it.

What I Collect

If you sign up for the Assignment Audit, I collect your email address, and on the Audit page your first name if you choose to give it. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is stored. You don't need an account and there is nothing to buy on this site.

What I Do With It

I send you the four Audit files, and after that an occasional email, usually every week or two, about assessment that holds up when students have AI at their fingertips. That's the whole purpose. I don't sell, rent, trade or share your address with anyone, and I don't use it to advertise anyone else's products.

Where It's Stored

The list runs on Kit, an email service based in the United States, so your address is stored on their systems under their terms. The sign-up asks you to confirm by clicking a link in an email before anything is sent, which is both how Canadian anti-spam law prefers consent to be recorded and how I know the address was typed by the person who owns it.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. It doesn't identify individual visitors and I couldn't connect a page view to a subscriber even if I wanted to. There are no advertising trackers on any page.

Your Choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link and one click is enough. If you'd rather I deleted your address altogether, or you want to know what I hold, write to me and I'll do it and tell you when it's done. You don't have to give a reason.
